They are still a work in progress – we will update these series as we get them ready, and add more!
As a teaser, one of the articles will feature the full ARM Cortex-M7 board from Crosscore Embedded Studio. We can compile their projects straight from the “Getting Started” section in the site. The following is a presentation of what we will show for this article:
But, as an embedded engineer, it is always possible that you want to extend your embedded Linux system. You may want to add extra hardware, or replace a run-of-the-mill CPU with another high-performance CPU, or choose another embedded platform. That’s what we are going to do in this series of post.
In the following weeks, we will present a series of articles that will explain how to build an advanced embedded Linux machine. We will add all the features we have put in the Linux kernel, but we will also show how to replace one of the more routine but less powerful components in a system, such as the GPU, Flash memory, USB host, or the network interface. By the end of the series, we will have built a full general-purpose embedded Linux system, with an x86 CPU, and a GPU. We will show the results and explain how to customize your embedded Linux environment. 7211a4ac4a
